detecting data for determining whether the sudden start condition is satisfied; determining whether a shift stage is a neutral (N) stage or a parking (P) stage when an engine operates; determining whether the sudden start condition is satisfied based on the data when the shift stage is the N stage or the P stage when the engine operates; and limiting an engine torque below a predetermined torque and operating a brake when the sudden start condition is satisfied.
