PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing device that can properly remove wrinkles in a document image.SOLUTION: An image reading unit 21 reads each of a first document image and a second document image from a document which is arranged in first and second orientations respectively, a wrinkle area candidate detection unit 42 rotates the first document image by the rotational angle between the first orientation and the second orientation, and an object in a predetermined density range in a second document image and a rotated first document image is detected as a wrinkle area candidate. A similarity specifying unit 43 specifies the degree of similarity between a wrinkle area candidate of the rotated first document image and a corresponding wrinkle area candidate in the second document image. When the wrinkle area candidate in the second document image is coincident with the wrinkle area candidate of the rotated first document image based on the similarity, a wrinkle area removing unit 44 does not remove the wrinkle area candidate, and when the similarity is within a predetermined range, the wrinkle area removing unit 44 removes the wrinkle area candidate as a wrinkle area in the first document image or the second document image.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
