摘要 A PLC(Power Line Communication) system using an HFC(Hybrid-Fiber Coaxial) network and a communication apparatus used in the PLC system are provided to convert a data signal received from a predetermined IP(Internet Protocol) network into a PLC data packet signal complying with a predetermined PLC protocol, and to transmit the converted signal to more than one receiving house through coaxial cables and optical fibers, thus PLC is available between each receiving house and each communication terminal. The first communication port unit(310) is connected with a predetermined IP network, and receives a data signal from the IP network. The second communication port unit(350) is connected with predetermined coaxial cables. A PLC converter(340) converts the data signal into a PLC data packet signal complying with a predetermined PLC protocol. Transmission controllers(343) control so that the PLC data packet signal can be transmitted to an optical signal transmission device through the coaxial cables.
