<p>Distributed database system for processing a client or customer-site initiated database transaction includes a transaction keying and RF transmitting device (210) and a transaction relay (219) for transmitting the client or customer-site initiated database transaction, a local order RF receiver converter for receiving the transaction and converting the transaction to a computer readable format, and a modem for linking the transaction in a persistent queue (232), which initiates a database transaction, including information identifying service location equipment and desired product, and transmits the transaction to the queue. A client server retrieves the transaction from the queue and transmits the data to a data directory server, including a rules database, and the data directory server interrogates at least one of a plurality of dispatch utility servers to identify an available dispatch utility server and routs the transaction to the available dispatch utility server.</p> |
