PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimize all necessary characteristics concerned with the shape of the central portion in an asymmetric scroll shape wherein the phase of the two maximum sealing spaces formed during one turn of the shaft, serving as the compression chambers, are shifted by 180 deg., by forming the shape of scroll- start tip by connecting an involute curve and two circular arcs, eliminating interference thereby to ensure fluid passage and lap strength during discharge step, as well as to substantially uniformalize the inside and outside built-in compression ratios. SOLUTION: The ratio between a maximum sealed space of an outside compression chamber formed by turning and fixed scrolls and a minimum sealed space the wall surface of which is formed by involute curve, and the ratio between a maximum sealed space of the inside compression chamber and a minimum sealed space 8 the wall surface of which is formed by the involute curve and the circular arc are made almost equivalent. On an inside circular arc portion connected to the involute curve of the lap-start bulbous portion is provided an arc shaped notch portion originating at inscribed point S which substantially forms the minimum sealed space 8 of the inside compression chamber to be used as a fluid passage for the hydraulic fluid. |
