PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize size and loss reductions in a hybrid type steeping motor and improvement in pull-out torque characteristics. SOLUTION: Flat rolled magnetic steel sheet and strip layered with a stator core of the hybrid steeping motor is split into a main magnetic section and a core back section. The core back uses a difficult-to-affect-magnetism material with little iron loss, thus restraining eddy-current loss. Both ends of the whole layered thickness of the layered main magnetic pole in the motor axial direction are made into a split core structure having a section for joining adjacent slot open sections to each other to increase an occupying percentage of a winding wound around the main magnetic pole, thus significantly improving the pull-out torque characteristics of the motor.
