<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide toner with which a high grade image can be obtained in long-term use by preventing sweeping together due to an edge effect and suppressing toner fusion onto a toner carrier and the degradation in half-tone uniformity in an electrophotographic system having a process like contact development. <P>SOLUTION: The toner is used for the image forming method having the contact development process of disposing a magnet roller having a magnetic pole within the toner carrier having an elastic roller on the surface, rotating the toner carrier to convey the deposited toner and performing development while bringing the toner carrier and an electrostatic image carrier into contact with each other. The toner has at least a binder resin and magnetic iron oxide and is characterized in that the average circularity of the toner is ≥0.950, and at least an inorganic fine powder A of 5 to 25 nm in an average primary grain size and an inorganic fine powder B of 30 nm to 1 μm in an average primary grain size exist on the toner particle surfaces. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
