PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a block toy with full of amusement and with more variability and unexpectedness by using light-emitting block bodies. SOLUTION: The block body is made of a translucent material and is formed in a prescribed shape such as a cube, a rectangular parallelepiped or a cylinder. A projection part 2 is disposed on one face and a set-in part 3 is disposed on another face for setting in the projection part 2. The block bodies can be jointed with each other by detachably engaging the projection part of one block body with the set-in part 3 of the other block body. The block bodies are composed of a light emitting block body 1A with a built-in light emitter 4, a projecting block body 1B with a mask part 6 for holding a film member Q in which a projection pattern is displayed, a reflection block body 1C with a built-in reflection mirror 8, a kaleidoscope block body 1D with a built-in kaleidoscope 11, a translucent block body 1E with a built-in translucent body 12 with a translucent reflection surface, and an aromatic block body 1F with a built-in aromatic substance 13.
