A light emitting device and a display device using the same as an optical source are provided to improve absorption efficiency of the getter, and electron emission efficiency, and to increase a lifespan by maximizing an absorption area by forming a getter layer in an inner side of a glass frame. A vacuum container(18) maintaining the vacuum inside includes a first substrate(12), a second substrate(14) to face each other, and a sealing member(16) positioned between the first substrate and the second substrate. An electron emission unit(20) includes an electron emission part(24) positioned in one surface of a first substrate. A light emitting unit(22) is positioned in one surface of the second substrate and includes a fluorescent layer(34) and an anode electrode(32). A getter layer(38) is formed in the inner side of the exposed sealing member to the internal space of the vacuum container. The sealing member includes a glass frame fixed in the first substrate and the second substrate by an adhesive layer.
