PURPOSE:To realize a pair of R/W head cores which put a track between them and improve the reproducing efficiency and recording electric current efficiency of a magnetic head, by forming a composite magnetic head united in one body in such a way that an R/W head core is put between a pair of head cores and they are joined in one body. CONSTITUTION:The 1st head core 1, whose front gap 5 has a specified lower end and which has the 1st coil window 4 for winding the 1st coil 30 and the 1st opening 6 for winding the 2nd coil 40 installed at a location which is separated from the front gap 5 in the direction of the extension of the track, is prepared. In addition to the core 1, a pair of the 2nd head cores 22, which are fitted to both sides of the core 1 in the direction of thickness and have the 2nd openings 24' for winding the coil 30 installed correspondingly to the opening 4, the 2nd coil window 23 for winding the coil 40 installed correspondingly to the opening 6, and the 2nd front gaps 24 whose lower end is specified by the coil window, respectively, is also prepared. The composite type magnetic head of this invention is manufactured in one body, by putting the 1st head core 1 between the 2nd head cores 20 and joining them in one body. |
