PURPOSE:To contrive effective use of an ink sheet, by a construction wherein a mechanism is provided for adjusting the angle of inclination of a color ink sheet relative to a recording head group, and the angle being optimally controlled in accordance with the width of a recording paper being used. CONSTITUTION:When the size of the recording paper 1 is decreased and a recording width L' for one line is decreased, maintaining the angle of inclination thetafor a sheet 3 with a recording width L (L>L') results in generation of untransferred parts in each ink layer, leading to wasteful consumption of the ink sheet. To solve the problem, a payout roll shaft 4 and a take-up roll shaft 5 for a rolled form sheet 3 are fitted to a base plate 7 so provided that it can be freely inclined toward the fixed side through a support pin 6, a projected part 8 is provided integrally with a part on the side of the shaft 5, and a cam 9 cooperating with the part 8 is provided. Further, a spring 10 for pushing the plate 7 is fitted between the part 8 and the fixed side so that the inclination of the base plate 7, namely, the angle of inclination theta of the sheet 3 can be varied by driving the cam 9 to turn in accordance with the recording width. |
