The controller has a gauge which is fixed at one end of a central body and at the other end another gauge is fixed covering a second measurement area. A first gauge section measures the greatest mesh width and a second section measures the absolute greatest mesh width. The gauge (21) has a third section measuring max. average mesh width (n + y), a fourth section measuring min. average mesh width (n-y), and pref. a fifth section measuring absolute min. mesh width (n-x) and pref. nominal mesh width (n). At the central body other end is fixed a gauge which measures greatest and smallest wire thickness in a mesh, and the gauge pref. has up to six measurement sections of the quoted type. The gauge for thickness measurement is located at one end of a gauge measuring mesh width. The gauge for wire thickness measurement has such an external shape that the central distance between two adjacent meshes can be measured with the aid of one or more sections. |
