PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a hygienic and quiet dwelling space or the like free from a rat by forming a dangerous environment which the rat dislikes most, by blocking the rat's passage caused to narrowing the route of the rat by installing on the route in the house and blocking the rat's behavior caused to forming a fear of being injured by a lot of needles to the approaching rat. SOLUTION: This repelling tool for the rat fixes a lot of thumbtacks from inside of a cylindrical body 2 setting a lot of sharp needles 3a to protrude from the outer peripheral surface 2b of the cylindrical body 2 having both ends 2a closed, and the volume of the cylindrical body 2 and projection of a lot of needles 3a narrow the passage 6 of a rat 9 and block the passage for the rat and threaten the rat 9 by the needles 3a and form a fear of being injured.
