<p>The invention relates to a flood preventing self-locking stop valve meant for water supply systems, in dwellings or other similar spaces. The stop valve comprises a body (1) wherein a passing element (2) provided with a cylindrical water-intake bore (a) is fixed, and wherein there slides a rod piston (3) resting on a compression spring (4). The cylindrical bore (a) communicates with two side openings (b and c) wherethrough the water passes into some spaces (d and e) formed on either side of the passing element (2). A locking element (7) resting on a spring (8) is cross-way introduced and slides inside the passing element (2). The rod of the piston (3) may enter the locking element (7), when the valve is in its "open" position, or may partially enter an axial channel (k) cut into the locking element, when the valve is in its "closed" position.</p> |
