1345119 Scouring powder COLGATEPALMOLIVE CO 12 May 1972 22391/72 Headings C5D and C4V A scouring composition comprises a substance, e.g. calcite, which crystallizes in the hexagonal scalenohedral division of the crystal system of minerals, having one axis of three-fold symmetry reflecting a regular distribution of triangular caronate ions interleaved with and equidistant from layers of calcium ions in planes perpendicular to the axis, said substance having a rhombohedral habit and a particle size of 10-50 Á. The calcite may be obtained from Jurassic or Deronian rock or middle chalk of Cretaceons limestone. The composition may also include a bleach, e.g. trichlorocyanuric acid or an oxygen generator and a surface active agent, e.g. sodium dodecylbenzene sulphonate. Other ingredients specified include: sodium carbonate, pentasdoium tripolyphosphate, sodium boride, d - limonene, perfume and colouring. |
