Adjustable stringing for tennis racquet - uses movable inserts in frame with retaining screws to tension strings to required amount

The stringing is for a tennis racquet, and is adjustable for different degrees of tension. The racquet is u-shaped, and has two or three movable inserts (1, 2) which are fitted accurately to within a millimetre. The stringing is pulled over the inserts, and tensioned as normal. Screws on the inside of the racquet frame, after tightening lift the inserts off the frame, and increase the tension of the stringing. One insert at the racquet head, and one on one side are sufficient but a counterweight balance has been provided.
