PURPOSE:To obtain a camera obtained by reducing trouble for a photographer by constituting the camera so that a focusing action is executed in focusing width different from that at a releasing time at the same time when a focal distance is changed. CONSTITUTION:The respective contacts of a zoom speed change-over switch 75 and a zooming set button 77 are connected to a lens CPU 61. When the switching operation thereof is received by the CPU 61, control processing related to power zooming is executed. In accordance with the turning-on action of a photometry switch, an AF action is started regardless of the turning of a zooming operation ring, that means, the execution of a power zooming action. However, the accurate focusing action is executed in the AF action at that time. On the other hand, as for the AF action with the set of an AF action demand flag F-PZAFREQ, a focusing range is widened and the focusing action which is comparatively slow is executed. Thus, the focusing is easily judged and troublesome sense is not given to the photographer. |
