摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lamp having no start delay by generating initial electrodes always necessary for discharging in switching on time on a luminous phosphor coated film and increasing these electrons by repeating collision with rare gas. SOLUTION: In a cold-cathode fluorescent lamp L, photoelectric conversion is performed in a valve always irradiated with the residual light of a luminous phosphor coated film 6, and initial electrons necessary for the start of discharging are generated. When the fluorescent lamp L is connected to a usual high-frequency lighting circuit and carriers a current, these initial electrons are accelerated by an electric field, and by repeating colliding with rare gas in the glass valve 1, a number of electrons are generated in the valve 1. The electrons generated by the collision are accelerated by an electric field as in the case of the initial electrons generated by the photoelectric conversion, and by repeating collision with rare gas, a number of secondary electrons are generated in the valve 1. By the generation of these secondary electrons, discharging occurs between cold-cathode electrodes 4 and 4, and the lamp L is lit.
