PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire having light weight and improving run flat driving performance while keeping normal running performance during filling with inner pressure at a high level by easing input from a road to a tire while keeping a tire durability with a reinforcing material. SOLUTION: This pneumatic tire is reinforced by a tire reinforcing cord made by twisting hollow organic fiber filaments under a condition where a twist coefficient N defined with an equation N=n×(0.126×D/ρ)1/2×10-3 is in a range from 0.5 to 0.7. In the equation, (n) is twist number (times/10 cm), D is the total express decitex(dtex), andρis the specific gravity of fibers which forms the organic fiber filaments. Preferably, a hollowness rate of the hollow filaments is 10% to 50%.
