摘要 The brake disc (13) secured to the hub (12) of the wheel is gripped on both sides by friction pads (18.1, 18.2) in a floating saddle (17) which encloses a piston (21) driven by hydraulic pressure from a relatively small piston (25) carrying a roller (26). The electromagnetic friction coupling (32) has one part (33) stationary on a limb (15) of the axle, and the other part (35) rotatable and axially displaceable with its own friction lining (37). ADVANTAGE - The brake is controllable by very low power, the requisite energy for brake application being taken from the braked wheel within a fraction of one revolution.
