PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the design latitude of a projector lamp for larger variety, and improve the visibility of light emitted therefrom from oncoming drivers or pedestrians by increasing the emission area of the lamp switched on to the utmost through the increased area in its projector lens. SOLUTION: A projector lamp 1 is constituted of a projector lens 3 and a reflector 4. The lens 3 has in its center a cylindrical lens portion 31 with curves in the vertical section, and at both left and right ends of the lens portion 31 aspherical lens portions 32 and 33 obtained through the division of one lens portion into two pieces and joined to the cylindrical lens portions 31 at their divided faces. The reflector 4 has four sections of an upper reflective surface 41, a lower reflective surface 42, a right reflective surface 43 and a left reflective surface 44, each of which is a curved ellipsoid. The lamp 1 with that structure has a potential for larger variety in the shape of the lens 3 and for increase in the area thereof, while holding its peculiar characteristics. |
