A flat panel display includes a number of banded display elements and a number of conductive stripes perpendicular to the display element, as well as display cells. The conductive stripe has at least one conductive surface. The display elements successively comprise a back conductive layer, a luminescent layer made of eletroluminescent material or an electrochromic layer made of electrochromic material, and a transparent conductive layer which covers the whole luminescent layer or electrochromic layer. The back conductive layer of banded display elements is disposed in ohm contact with conductive stripe at intersection so as to form the display cell. The display can be manufactured by weave technology and can realize large screen display easily. |
