PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ammonia absorption refrigerator to forcibly discharge a moisture content mixed in ammonia in an evaporator and be also advantageous in terms of a quantity of heat and simplify constitution. SOLUTION: An ammonia water solution forms an operation medium and a supercooler 10 to supercool ammonia refrigerant liquid flowing in an evaporator 1 due to vaporization of ammonia is provided on the downstream side of the direct expansion type evaporator 1. A moisture content estimating means T is provided to estimate the moisture content of refrigerant liquid flowing out from the evaporator 1, and a control device 13 is provided to control an amount of ammonia refrigerant liquid fed to the evaporator 1 based on the moisture content estimation information.
