PURPOSE:To switch the state of a video when channel exchange is inputted, by providing a video data transient storage circuit in which the state of the video of a video data storage circuit is stored transiently. CONSTITUTION:The preceding state of the video is stored in the video data transient storage circuit 8, and the stored content of the circuit 8 is compared and judged with the stored content (current video state) of the video data transient storage circuit 9 by a discrimination circuit 4. And a picture is exchanged with a preceding state by inputting the channel exchange, by exchanging a channel data by inputting the channel exchange, for example, when a result represents that both states are set at television states, and by exchanging the channel data by inputting the channel exchange when both states are not set at the television states. In other words, it is possible to exchange the picture being observed just before with the picture being observed currently by a single input operation.
