PURPOSE:To facilitate the operation of a memory lever by allowing a seat back to be locked in front of the memory position by installing the first memory plate and the second memory plate which is turning-urged in the reverse direction to the first memory plate by the weaker turning force than that of the first memory plate and allowing the smooth and certain movement of a pawl, thus continuously varying the memory position. CONSTITUTION:A lower arm 1 having a pawl 6 and an upper arm 2 having a ratchet plate 4 are connected through a hinge pin 3, and a release arm 8 for operating the pawl 6 is arranged. The first memory plate 15 having a flange 15a is supported onto the hinge pin 3 and turning-urged frontward, and the second memory plate 17 is turning-urged in the reverse direction. A release plate 9 is pivotally installed onto the release arm 8, and a brake ring 24 for suspending the turning of the memory plate 17 and a memory lever 20 are installed. |
