METHOD FOR INTERFACING INPUT AND OUTPUT IN COMPUTER SYSTEM

The severeneww of faults of a duplicated system are detected by self tests and a currently operating system is switched to the other system when faults are severe. The method comprises the steps: (A) executing self tests; (B) transmitting system fail signal to a MPMA (1) when errors are detected; (C) switching a system to a stand-by system when errors are detected and otherwise waiting to receive initialization instruction; (D) initializing chips and memories; (E) setting initialization error flag when error occurs during initialization process and waiting for next initialization instruction; (F) repeating the step (D) and (E) for a certain times; and (G) switching a system to a stand-by system when errors occur during the step (F).
