PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the degree of freedom in the reduction ratio of a lens barrel driving mechanism from getting lower when a detection mechanism is provided in the lens barrel driving mechanism than when the detection mechanism is not provided therein. SOLUTION: This camera is provided with the lens barrel driving mechanisms 3, 6, 7 to 13 driving a lens barrel and the detection mechanisms 41 and 42 detecting the actuated state of the lens barrel. Then, the detection mechanism is provided in actuating part driving mechanisms 15 to 40 transmitting driving force obtained from the lens barrel driving mechanism or the actuated lens barrel to an actuating part (for example, a stroboscope) different from the lens barrel.
