A helicopter rotor blade control system includes a helical drive with its driving shaft (5) connected to a control motor, this helical drive having a fixed pitch. This is located at the centre of a housing (3) supported by shaped arms (2) inside a ring (1) having a aerofoil cross section. These arms include blades (6) mounted on bearings at each end (7), so that they can turn about their horizontal axis, controlled by a plate (8) connected to a control cable operated by the pilot. These blades can be vertical or sloping, or moved to an overlapping horizontal alignment. The system gives a stability to the steering operation and acts as a safety device.
|
