PURPOSE:To prevent the over-regulation and to eliminate the sliding of the brake shoe by detecting the severe brake operating condition from the liquid pressure of the wheel cylinder device and the temperature of the brake drum thereby interrupting the regulating function of the brake gap regulator. CONSTITUTION:An electromagnetic coil 20 for driving a regulating member 9 engaging with a nail whell 6 is secured to the backplate 13, while a frame 26 is secured to the brackplate 13 then a stroke switch 35 is supported by a bracket 24 colliding with said frame 26 and one brake shoe 2, and a detection coil 25 is supported by the frame 26. The detection coil 25 is connected in series with a brake switch 32 excited at the braking to the power source 31, while the electromagnetic coil 20 is connected in series with a stroke switch 35 closing at the excitation of th detection coil 25, pressure switch 34 responsive to the liquid pressure applied on the wheel cylinder, thermostat 33 and a brake switch 32 to the power source 31. |
