摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting diode for improving the formation accuracy of an optical surface, such as a reflection surface and a radiation surface. SOLUTION: A recessed-surface-shaped reflection surface 22 is provided at the light-emitting surface side of a light-emitting device 12 and is nearly rotary parabolic surface in shape. The center of the light-emitting surface of the light-emitting device 12 is arranged at its focal point. A radiation surface 24 is provided at the rear surface side of the light-emitting device 12. A protruding part 26 that protrudes from the parabolic surface 24 is provided at the periphery of the radiation surface 24. A light-emitting diode is manufactured by the transfer mold method, with which a recessed-surface shaped reflection surface 22 is formed by a lower mold, and the radiation surface 24 is formed by an upper mold. At this time, the remaining air on the upper surface of the upper mold stays at the part of the upper mold, corresponding to the protruding part 26, so that no air layer remains at the part of the upper mold corresponding to the radiation surface 24.
