PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a failure diagnosing device capable of diagnosing a failure of a negative pressure actuator control system, and to provide a method of diagnosing a failure.SOLUTION: A failure diagnosing device is provided in a negative pressure actuator control system 1 which controls a negative pressure actuator 2 for braking a vehicle using negative pressure accumulated in a vacuum tank 3 by a vacuum pump 10. The device diagnoses a failure of the negative pressure actuator control system 1 based on a state of a pump signal for controlling the vacuum pump 10, a state of an actuator signal for controlling the negative pressure actuator 2, and tank pressure P in the vacuum tank 3. |
