PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin for a thermal transfer image reception sheet capable of manufacturing a thermal transfer image reception sheet excellent in terms of dyeing friendliness, capable of inhibiting blocking, and excellent in terms of shelf stability; a thermal transfer image reception sheet; and a manufacturing method of both.SOLUTION: The provided resin for a thermal transfer image reception sheet comprises a graft polymer consisting of (A1) a principal chain segment consisting of a polyester resin having a specified acid radical and acid value and (A2) a side chain segment consisting of an addition-polymerized resin and has a glass transition point of 75 to 100°C. The segment (A1) of this resin for a thermal transfer image reception sheet comprises a polyester resin obtained by polycondensing: an alcohol component including, at a specified ratio and at a combined sum of at least 70 mol%, a hydrogenated bisphenol A and a bisphenol A alkylene oxide adduct containing at least 50 mol% of propyleneoxy groups; and a carboxylic acid component including at least 60 mol% of an aromatic dicarboxylic acid. |
