PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high hardness super fine particle hard metal alloy high in growing inhibition effect of WC particles, hardly reducing strength by adding super fine particle carbonitride particles which is hardly dissolved in a binding phase.SOLUTION: There is provided a hard metal alloy free of V other than contamination inevitably produced by adding 0.1% or more of oxide consisting of at least one kind of metal selected from Ti, Zr, Hf, Nb, Ta, Cr, Mo and W to a binding phase containing at least one kind selected from a group consisting of Co, Ni and Fe of 0.5 to 30 wt.% based on the whole hard metal alloy where WC particles having an average particle diameter of 0.05 to 2.0 μm occupies the hard metal alloy at 70 to 99.4 wt.% so that the total is 100 wt.% and carbonitriding the oxide during sintering.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
