<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep a gap between a planar heating body and an inner peripheral portion of a heated member arranged with the planar heating body, small and constant. <P>SOLUTION: A fixing device includes: a fixing sleeve 21 which is a rotating endless belt; a pressurizing roller 31 disposed so as to press the fixing sleeve 21 on an outer peripheral side of the fixing sleeve 21; an abutting member 26 disposed on an inner peripheral side of the fixing sleeve 21, and abutting on the pressurizing roller 31 through the fixing sleeve 21 by the pressing of the pressurizing roller 31 to form a nip portion; and a planar heating body 22 disposed on the inner peripheral side of the fixing sleeve 21, and having a resistance heating layer 22b for heating the fixing sleeve 21. In the planar heating body 22, the resistance heating layer 22b has a laminated structure sandwiched by insulation layers 22f and 22g. The insulation layer 22f opposing to the inner peripheral side of the fixing member of the insulation layers 22f and 22g, has a higher thermal expansion coefficient than that of the insulation layer 22g formed on the opposite side to the insulation layer 22f through the resistance heating layer 22b. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
