PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a greening method to a columnar body by which long-term growth can be achieved for plants planted in a vegetation mat that is wound and fixed to the columnar body such as a utility pole in a ring-shaped state and a pocket planter that is arranged thereon, and water-supply cost for the same can be decreased.SOLUTION: A greening method is provided comprising the steps of: winding wave plates at constant intervals in the greening area on a columnar surface; installing a rainwater receiver at the upper side wave plate; binding and fixing a vegetation mat from the root part of the rainwater receiver around a utility pole by use of a stainless band and a stainless wire; closely fixing a pocket planter in which a water storage chamber and a back surface part are formed in a grid pattern to the vegetation mat at an arbitrary place of the stainless wire by use of engaging metal fittings and lock pins; and inserting vegetation soil (made by blending sphagnum, cocopeat, peat moss, bark compost, slow-acting fertilizer, organic fertilizer, and compound fertilizer) into the pocket planter to plant perennial plants and shrubs.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
