<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a camshaft and a rocker shaft supported by a cover member connected to an upper surface of a cylinder head of an internal combustion engine from coming off with a small number of part items and a few man-hours. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Since camshafts 26, 27 and rocker shafts 28, 29 are inserted through camshaft insertion through-holes 84a, 84b and rocker shaft insertion through-holes 84c, 84d formed on a cam cover 13 connected to an upper surface of the cylinder head and a cap member 107 covering shaft ends of the camshafts 26, 27 and the rocker shafts 28, 29 are provided on one end surface in a camshaft axial direction of the cam cover 13, both of the camshafts 26, 27 and the rocker shafts 28, 29 can be prevented from coming off by the common cap member 107 and the number of part items and assembly man-hours can be reduced.
