PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester film in which a transfer layer can be smoothly exfoliated from a polyester film being a base material, the transfer layer can be smoothly transferred to a material to be transferred and there is no trouble that appearance of a surface of the material to be transferred deteriorates or the transfer layer remains at a base material film side, and which is suitable as a material for molding and simultaneous transferring. SOLUTION: In the polyester film for a transfer material, the polyester film has a mold releasing layer containing wax on one side of the film and ordinary exfoliation force of the mold releasing layer is in a range of 1,500 to 3,000 mN/cm.
