<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a defect of conventional technique, and in particular, to provide a polyethylene resin composition for a bottle cap, which is high in molding speed. <P>SOLUTION: The polyethylene resin composition for a bottle cap includes a polyethylene resin component and a cyclic aliphatic metal salt component, and the polyethylene resin component satisfies at least one of (a), (b), (c) and (d). (a) The polyethylene resin component is composed of a low molecular weight component (A) comprising an ethylene homopolymer having an MFR of code D within a range of 100-500 g/10 min and a high molecular weight component (B) comprising a copolymer of ethylene and a 3C-20C α-olefin, wherein the ratio of the low molecular weight component (A) is 70-30 wt.% and the ratio of the high molecular weight component (B) is 30-70 wt.%. (b) The MFR of code D of the resin component is 4.0-10.0 g/10 min. (c) The density of the resin component is 0.960 to 0.966 g/cm<SP>3</SP>.
