<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively dissipate heat generated in imaging elements without reducing the efficacy of correcting the blurring of an image. <P>SOLUTION: A CPU 50 moves a CCD case 30 and a CCD plate 31, which are arranged with imaging elements 55, to a +x direction by drawing a current through a coil 35b to drive a voice coil motor 35 and then lets a protrusion 31a and a heat dissipating member 35d contact with each other. A position detecting element 79 detects a position of the CCD plate 31, and detects with the detecting element 79 that the protrusion 31a and the heat dissipating member 35d have contacted with each other and then a detection signal has been input to the CPU 50, the CPU 50 stops the CCD case 30 and the CCD plate 31 with the protrusion 31a in contact with the heat dissipating member 35d.
