<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an instrument configured by mounting an applied object with rough surface on the wall face of a casing for generating a percussion instrument sound which is unique and rich in change in a certain range. <P>SOLUTION: The instrument is configured of: a rectangular parallelepiped-shaped casing with a resonant cavity having an external percussion surface for generating a percussion instrument sound when the instrument is percussed with the arbitrary portion of the hand of a person or a hard or another arbitrary appropriate object; and an applied object with rough surface connected so as to be mounted on or integrated with one face or multiple faces of those faces.
