PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the occurrence of a downtime resulting from a processing operation to suppress filming.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: filming index value measurement means for measuring a filming count value F indicating the amount of filming on the surface of a latent image carrier; toner adhesion means, such as a charging device, exposure device, and developing device for causing a toner to be adhered to the surface of the latent image carrier; and control means for controlling the toner adhesion means when the filming count value F exceeds a predetermined threshold (0.8) to cause a toner to a surface portion of the latent image carrier corresponding to a non-image forming area between images during a continuous image forming operation, so as to supply a predetermined amount of toner to a point where the surface of the latent image carrier and a cleaning member rub each other. |
