Disclosed is a floodgate capable of being automatically opened and closed by using a change in water level as time passes by. A method for automatically opening and closing the floodgate using a change in the water level includes: a step of measuring an opening degree, the internal water level of the floodgate, and the external water level of the floodgate; a step of setting a time interval and extracting a change in the external water level according to the time interval while extracting a change in the internal water level according to the time interval; a step of determining the opening degree based on the change in the internal water level, the change in the external water level, and the opening degree; and a step of operating the floodgate according to the opening degree. The present invention allows the determination of the opening degree of the floodgate based on the opening degree of the floodgate, the internal water level, the external water level, the change in the internal water level, and the change in the external water level according to the time interval, thereby preventing a backflow in case of flood. |
