ISLAND KITCHEN WITH HEARTH COUNTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an island kitchen which may be easily used for cooking and washing dishes and with which hot dishes cooked with a heater may be easily provided to several persons.SOLUTION: There is provided an island kitchen 1 comprising a kitchen cabinet 2 storing a sink and a heater cabinet 3 arranged adjacent to the kitchen cabinet 2 and storing a heater, but not any partition wall sectioning the kitchen from an another section. A hearth cabinet 4 having a function as a dining table is arranged adjacent to the heater cabinet 3. A work top 6 is attached to the kitchen cabinet 2. To the heater cabinet 3 and the hearth cabinet 4, a hearth counter 7 integrally covering their upper surfaces is attached. The work top 6 is arranged at a height suitable for standing operation. The hearth counter 7 is arranged at a height lower than the height at which the work top 6 is arranged.
