PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system switch technique suitable for required processing for each type of a mounted lens and each function of a mounted lens.SOLUTION: A lens unit for exposing a subject image to an imaging apparatus comprising imaging means capable of imaging a subject image comprises; a drivable optical member; communication means for communication with the imaging apparatus having the lens unit mounted thereto; lens information storage means for storing individual information; determination means for determining a communication system for communication with the imaging apparatus; and reset means which performs reset operation of the optical member in response to an instruction from the mounted imaging apparatus having the lens unit mounted thereto. A first communication system is adopted to transmit, to the imaging apparatus having the lens unit mounted thereto, the individual information of the lens unit stored in the lens information storage means. A second communication system different from the first communication system is adopted to receive an instruction to perform a reset operation of the lens unit by the reset means. |
