PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plane animation device which is constituted by providing a figure on design base paper of a gift card, such as a jacket, title design paper, and advertisement bases paper, and inserted into a plastic case and can manually or automatically move the figure by a movement transmitting mechanism provided on the reverse surface of the design base paper. SOLUTION: The gift card, such as the jacket, title design paper, advertisement base paper, and a Christmas card, inserted into the plastic case etc., needs to be made thin. The plane animation device is characterized in that automatic or manual power is generated by placing the jacket as a background on a gear fitting base comprising a plurality of thin spur gears in a space of about 3 mm in thickness as a jacket storage space of, for example, a CD or DVD case and moving the figure on the jacket through magnetic attraction and repulsion based upon an induced magnetic force by a magnet buried at a movable operation point of the figure provided on the jacket across a link mechanism comprising pins or the like fitted to the spur gears, magnets embedded in the spur gears, and the jacket.
