The control circuit has a switch, which selectively interrupts a current flow between two connections and a power source, which supplies power to the former connection. Another power source is provided, which supplies power to latter connection and to a heating unit of a heated diesel particle filter (12). The switch is opened during diesel particle filter regeneration cycle to prevent loading of former power source during supply of heat energy. An independent claim is included for a method for supplying power to a heating unit of a heated diesel particle filter.
