PURPOSE: A high speed encoding system and an encoding method are provided to execute an encoding and a transcoding process in a plurality of encoding servers by dividing an image file into a plurality of sub-files. CONSTITUTION: One or more encoding servers(300) encode and transcode an image file. An encoding management server(200) divides the image file inputted from a content providing unit(100) into a plurality of sub-files and individually assigns the divided sub-files to the one or more encoding servers. The encoding management server composes the image file by receiving the sub-files in which the encoding and the transcoding process are terminated.
