PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an information processing apparatus capable of easily providing an image of an article of commerce and additional information to a user while suppressing transmission data volume.SOLUTION: According to an embodiment, an information processing apparatus comprises: processing means; and transmission means. The processing means executes processing for generating content data including a plurality of pieces of image data corresponding to a plurality of articles of commerce, and associating a sound effect identifier indicating one of a plurality of pieces of sound effect data stored in a storage area within a terminal with each of the image data in response to operator's operation. The transmission means transmits each of the image data as well as the sound effect identifier associated with the image data to the terminal to allow the terminal to reproduce each of the image data and the sound effect data corresponding to each of the image data.
