PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chamfer processing machine tool having at least three linear movement axes and capable of lengthening a tool life of a chamfer tool in chamfer processing of a corner of a processing work-piece, and a chamfer processing method.SOLUTION: A linear movement axis (Z-axis) equipped with a chamfer tool is positioned to a processing position of chamfer processing, and then linear movement axes (X-axis, Y-axis) on a plane vertical to a tool axis direction are positioned to perform the chamfer processing. Based on tool information of a chamfer tool to be used, the linear movement axis equipped with the chamfer tool and the linear movement axes on the plane vertical to the tool axis direction are simultaneously corrected in accordance with a processing route in a processing program, so that an entire cutting blade of the chamfer tool can be used in one time of chamfer processing, and thus a tool life can be improved. By making a tool radius of a chamfer tool 2 be variable, a chamfer processing region 8 can be made to be the entire cutting blade of the chamfer tool 2. |
