Disclosed is an optical communication receiver capable of compensating DC offset and preventing an input load effect. The optical communication receiver includes an optical signal detector, an amplifier to which an optical current outputted from the optical signal detector is inputted, and a DC offset compensating unit which includes a third transistor and a fifth transistor which are serially connected to prevent the input load effect and compensates the DC offset by outputting at least part of DC inputted to the amplifier to the ground through the third transistor and the fifth transistor when the optical current is an overcurrent over a preset value.
